American Karate Studios helps our kids, men, and women become “Champions in everyday life” by providing a culture that fosters Love and Leadership!
Since 1973, American Karate Studios has been teaching people, of all ages, in the process of learning and practicing the martial arts as a tool for developing their Mental, Emotional, Physical and Character Life Skills to be a more complete, proactive, and empowered human being. In other words, living their best life!
You see, this school stands for something far beyond blocks, kicks, punches, and throws! Our motto is: “We are Creating Champions in Everyday Life Since 1973”.
We teach and instill Leadership qualities. Starting at a young age of 3 1/2, we believe that Leadership sets a person apart from others. It makes a Big Difference. You might say it’s the difference that makes a difference in life.
We consider ourselves an integral part of the village that help parents instill valuable character traits, beliefs, and habits in their children, such as: self-discipline, the ability to stay calm under pressure, the appreciation of teachers, parents, and other mentors, and the value of proper diet, exercise, and education in a happy and fulfilling life.
For thousands of adults and young-adults, we have been -and continue to be -a place to refuel, recharge, and remember the value of keeping one’s body fit, to keep the mind focused, and the spirit strong. Leadership helps develop these qualities that are seen by teachers, sports teams and the work place environment.
We teach a brand of Self-Defense that transcends our physical “art” -and includes the self-defense skills of kindness, empathy, community, and compassion. Yet, our brand of physical self defense, with its Kenpo Karate base, incorporates Boxing, Ju-jitsu, Pressure Points and Filipino weapons to help make the individual feel safe, confident and a have a power unlike ever before.
